Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to real hot tub questions.

Everything people usually ask before booking — scheduling, water care, pricing, and coverage. If your question isn't here, call or text 253-468-2888 and ask a human.

Part one

Service & scheduling

How often should a hot tub be drained and cleaned?

Every 3 to 4 months is typical for most households. Heavy use, rental turnover, or stubborn water problems can shorten that window. If the water fights you no matter how much you dose it, it's usually time for a full drain and clean rather than more chemicals.

What's the difference between weekly and biweekly maintenance?

Frequency and price. Weekly visits are $80 per visit and keep heavily used tubs dialed in at all times. Biweekly visits are $100 per visit and suit most residential tubs with light-to-moderate use. Both include testing, balancing, cleaning, and quarterly drain & cleans at the $250 member rate — see the maintenance page for details, and we'll help you pick the right rhythm for how you actually use your spa.

Do I need to prep anything before you arrive?

Just two things: clear access to the spa and a working hose spigot. We bring everything else — equipment, chemicals, and products.

How do I book a service visit?

Three ways: send an online work request through our contact page (it takes about two minutes), call 253-468-2888, or text the same number. You'll get pricing — including the trip fee — up front before anything is scheduled.

Part two

Water care

What happens if my water goes green between visits?

Contact us — don't keep soaking. Green or cloudy water usually means sanitizer has fallen behind, and the fix depends on how far it's gone: sometimes a rebalance, sometimes a full drain and clean. We handle problem water regularly and will give you a straight answer about which one you need.

Are the chemicals you use spa-safe?

Yes. We use professional spa products — including Frog @ease mineral systems and standard spa sanitizers — at the concentrations spas are designed for. What we recommend for your tub depends on its water system, size, and current condition; there's no one-size-fits-all dose. Browse the products we carry.

Do my filters need replacing?

Filters are cleaned at every service. They only need replacing when they're worn — and how long that takes depends on your filter model and how the tub is used. When yours is getting tired, we'll tell you, and help you get the right replacement for your spa.

When should I winterize my hot tub?

If you don't plan to run your spa through the cold months, it should be properly winterized before freezing weather arrives — a tub left full and unpowered in a freeze is how plumbing gets destroyed. Not sure whether to winterize or keep it running? Contact us and we'll talk it through for your situation.

Part three

Pricing & areas

What's included in the $349 drain and clean?

The complete reset: full drain, jet-line flush, shell and waterline detail, cover cleaning, filter cleaning, fresh fill, and complete water balancing — finished with a service report and photos. Tax and a location-based trip fee are added, and both are quoted before you book. Full breakdown on the drain and clean page.

What's a trip fee, and why do you charge one?

We're based in Yelm and cover a large area — Olympia to South Seattle and east to the mountain communities. The trip fee covers the drive and varies by location, which keeps our service prices flat instead of quietly padding them for everyone. You get the exact number with your quote, before you commit.

Do you service my hot tub brand — and my area?

Almost certainly. We service all major brands — Hot Spring, Jacuzzi, Sundance, Bullfrog, Caldera, Marquis, Nordic, Viking, Dimension One, Artesian, Master Spas, and more. Coverage runs from Olympia to South Seattle and east to the mountain communities; see the full service area. On the edge of the map or the brand list? Contact us — the answer is usually yes.

Do you service vacation rentals?

Yes — hot tub turnovers for vacation rentals are $175 per turnover, with recurring schedules available so the water is guest-ready between every stay. Details on the vacation rental page.
