Freeze protection, done right
Winterization: cheap insurance against cracked plumbing.
Sitting the season out? Water left in the lines is how spas die in a cold snap. We clear the plumbing properly so your tub sleeps through winter and wakes up ready.
The process
What proper winterization looks like.
Drain completely
Shell, footwell, and equipment bay — everything that holds water gets emptied.
Blow out the lines
The step homeowners skip: forced air through every jet line and fitting, because trapped water is what cracks pipes.
Protect what stays
Spa-safe antifreeze where appropriate, filters removed and stored dry, fittings left loose per manufacturer guidance.
Cover-down checklist
Shell wiped, cover secured, and a written record of what was done for spring reopening.

Pricing & timing
Quoted by spa model and location.
Winterization varies more than any other service — plumbing layout, pump count, and access all change the work. We quote it exactly for your spa and your address before scheduling. In the South Sound, book before the first hard freeze; mountain-adjacent towns like Buckley and Enumclaw should book earlier in the fall.
Should I winterize, or just leave the tub running?
Honest answer: many people run their tubs all winter — a heated, circulating spa resists freezing, and a January soak is the whole point of owning one. Winterize when the tub will sit unused, the power may be off, or you're away for the season. The danger zone is an unheated tub with water still in the lines.
When is the right time to winterize in the South Sound?
Before sustained freezing nights arrive — typically late fall. Higher elevations near the mountains freeze sooner, so Buckley, Enumclaw, and the plateau should book earlier than Olympia or Tacoma.
What does reopening in spring involve?
Reconnect fittings, reinstall filters, fresh fill, and full balancing — essentially a fresh-start service. Pair it with a drain and clean level detail and the tub comes back better than it went to sleep.
