Real numbers, not a "call for pricing" page

How Much Does Hot Tub Cleaning Cost in Washington?

Every price we charge, in one place, straight from our own rate sheet — no ranges pulled from thin air, no "starting at" games except where the service genuinely varies by spa. If a number changes, it's because your spa or your location changes it, and we'll tell you why before you book.

★ 5.0 on Google Read what real customers say

Before the numbers

Four things actually change your total.

Which service you need

A routine top-up visit, a full drain & clean, and a swim spa job are different amounts of work — the price reflects that, not a marketing tier.

How often you want us

A one-time visit, a recurring weekly/biweekly schedule, or a prepaid quarterly package each price the same core work differently because the commitment is different.

Where you are

We're based in Yelm and cover a wide service area — a visit closer to home costs less to reach than one at the far edge of our coverage. The trip fee reflects that honestly instead of hiding it in a padded base price.

Spa size and condition, occasionally

A standard hot tub and a swim spa aren't priced the same because they aren't the same job. Outside of that, our published prices are the prices; we don't pad a quote because a tub "looks bad" over the phone.

What $349 actually buys

A Drain & Clean is a full reset, not a rinse.

The base $349 covers a jet-line purge, a complete drain, a full detail of the shell and cover, a filter deep-clean, a fresh fill, and a full chemical rebalance — see the complete Drain & Clean process for the step-by-step.

Weekly and biweekly visits are lighter, routine stops: test, balance, filter rinse, and a look-over — see Weekly & Biweekly Maintenance for exactly what's included there.

Honest about the exceptions

The rare things that move a quote.

The vast majority of jobs are exactly the price on the table above, plus tax and trip. On rare occasions — an unusually large spa, a severely neglected tub, or add-ons like extra filters — the total can shift. When that happens, it's discussed and agreed with you before work starts, never discovered on the invoice afterward. If you're not sure which category your tub falls into, send a photo and ask — text 253-468-2888.

Why our number might look higher than a "quick clean" quote

A wipe-down and a Drain & Clean aren't the same job.

Some quotes you'll see around the South Sound are for a surface skim and a wipe-down — no draining, no plumbing purge, no filter deep-clean. That's a real, cheaper service, and it's not what we sell as a "Drain & Clean." Every Drain & Clean we do includes a jet-line purge (the step that actually removes hidden biofilm from the plumbing, not just the visible water) plus a full drain and detail. If all you need is a light surface tidy between deeper services, that's what a weekly or biweekly maintenance visit is for — it's priced differently because it's genuinely a different, lighter scope of work.

The one line item that varies by address

The trip fee, explained honestly.

We're a mobile, service-area business based in Yelm, Washington — no storefront, no shop rate to hide a drive in. The trip fee reflects the actual distance to your property and varies by location; it is always quoted up front, before you book, alongside the service price. See the full service area map for where we work and how trip fee generally scales by region.

Bigger tub, different math

Swim spas are priced by time, not a flat number.

Swim spas hold several times the water and surface area of a standard hot tub, so a flat per-visit price doesn't fit the way the work scales. Swim spa cleaning is $299 for the first 45 minutes of service, then $60 for each additional 30 minutes the job takes. The refill is not included in the base price — a swim spa refill can take hours of hose time, and we'd rather you not pay us to watch water rise. If you'd like us to handle the refill anyway, that's billed at the same service rate: $60 per additional half hour. Full detail on Swim Spa Cleaning.

Three ways to get on a schedule

Recurring service, three ways — pick the one that fits.

Weekly or biweekly maintenance

$80 or $100 per visit

Routine care visits on a standing schedule, and your quarterly drain & clean is included in that price — no separate deep-clean bill during the year. Best for owners who want the water actively managed between deep cleans.

The Quarterly Package

Starting at $299 prepaid

For owners who don't want routine weekly/biweekly stops but do want scheduled deep cleans on the calendar at a set rate. You choose how many drain & cleans you want per year, and the full package is paid in full up front.

One-time Drain & Clean

$349 no plan

No schedule, no prepay — just book the reset you need, when you need it.

None of these compete on being "the cheap one" — they're three honest ways to buy the same underlying work at a cadence that fits how you actually use your spa. Full comparison on Maintenance Plans.

Before you hire anyone

Five questions worth asking, of us or anyone else.

  1. Is the plumbing actually being purged, or just the visible water changed?

Biofilm hides in the lines — a real drain & clean addresses it.

  2. Is the trip fee quoted before you book, or discovered on the invoice?

It should always be the former.

  3. What's included in the base price, and what's an add-on?

Ask for it in writing before the visit, not after.

  4. Is the company insured, and does it work on your brand of spa?

We're licensed and insured, and we service all major hot tub brands.

  5. Are you told plainly what was done, or left guessing?

Clear notes on what was found and what was done should come standard, not be a premium add-on.

Pricing questions

Asked before booking, answered straight.

How much does a hot tub drain and clean cost?

A standalone, one-time Drain & Clean is $349, plus sales tax and a trip fee based on your location, quoted before we start.

What's included in weekly or biweekly maintenance pricing?

Weekly visits are $80 each and biweekly visits are $100 each, plus tax and trip fee. Both now get your quarterly drain & clean visits at the $250 member rate — that used to be billed separately.

What is the Quarterly Package and how is it different from weekly or biweekly service?

The Quarterly Package is a prepaid plan for customers who only want scheduled drain & clean visits, not routine weekly or biweekly water-care stops. It starts at $299 per drain & clean, you choose how many visits you want per year, and the full package is paid in full up front.

Does swim spa cleaning cost more than regular hot tub cleaning?

Yes. Swim spa cleaning is $299 for the first 45 minutes of service, then $60 for each additional 30 minutes, because swim spas hold far more water and surface area than a standard hot tub. The refill is not included.

Why is there a trip fee, and how much is it?

We're a mobile business based in Yelm, Washington, and the trip fee reflects the actual drive to your location. It varies by area and is always quoted up front before you book — never added to the invoice as a surprise.

Is a vacation rental turnover priced differently from a regular visit?

Yes — turnovers for short-term rental properties are $175 per visit, plus tax and trip fee. Full detail on Vacation Rental Hot Tub Turnovers.
